Position: WV Wood Technology Center Coordinator Randolph County Development Authority
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.
Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree in vocational education, wood products, manufacturing, business or related fields
2. Work related experience in the wood products industry or a related manufacturing industry preferred
3. Experience of economic development preferred
4. Experience with grant application and administration preferred
5. Marketing experience preferred
6. Proven abilities to work with education, business, and industry leaders
7. Proficient in various computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office
8. Ability to travel nationally

POSITION:
WV Wood Technology Center Coordinator / Randolph County Development Authority
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Develop, promote, teach, coordinate, and expand industry-leading courses in the areas of hardwood manufacturing, safety, extractive, and other industries. Manage and expand the WV Wood Technology Center and Central West Virginia Woodworkers Cooperative.
LOCATION:
West Virginia Wood Technology Center, Elkins-Randolph County
REPORTS TO:
President of the WV Wood Technology Center Board of Directors / MSESC Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED:

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED:
1. Master’s degree in any of the above degree requirements
2. Experience with real estate development
3. Knowledge of financing tools and resources
4. Property management experience
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Promote WV Wood Technology Center to individuals and businesses
2. Recruit, retain, expand business in Randolph County
3. Establish partnerships for workforce development and training
4. Develop curriculum to meet industry needs
5. Manage WVWTC/RCDA Staff
6. Apply for and administer local, state, federal, and private grants
7. Set budget, oversee financial matters of the organization
8. Sell/lease/develop real estate throughout the county
9. Develop and oversee implementation of various marketing plans/strategies for workforce and economic development
10. Represent the WVWTC/RCDA on multiple boards, councils, commissions, authorities
11. Implement the strategic goals and objectives of the organization as set by the board of directors
12. Maintain positive relationship with industry by open communication
13. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director/Designee

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC. Continuation of the position is
dependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.
