Welcome to the 2023 West Virginia School Safety Conference. During this two-day conference, we will look at school violence across the United States and methods of violence prevention and more. We are excited to have school safety experts from across the country join us.
Our keynote speakers include Dr. Steve Webb, Dr. Peter Langman, Paul Timm, Dr. Jim Harris and Michele Gay. They will cover a range of topics from warning signs and mental health concerns to top-down commitment to school safety. We will also be featuring breakout sessions both days of the conference. Topics include human trafficking, social media intelligence and influence of school safety, emotional EQ, fentanyl, Uvalde debrief, sextortion, warning signs, 3
types of school shooters, cyber hygiene, crimes against children, mental health, active shooter simulation, investigation and student discipline, WVDE Policy 4373.
This event is for all school administrators, law enforcement executives, school security directors,emergency managers, school safety officers, school resource officers, probation officers, school crisis team members, educators, community leaders, industry solution providers and mental health professionals.

When will the School Safety Conference take place? And where is it located?

The School Safety Conference will take place on Thursday, October 26th and Friday, October 27th at the Charleston Coliseum and Convention Center, 200 Civic Center Drive, Charleston, WV 25301.

How do I register?

What is the registration fee? How do I pay?

Registration is $600 per person, and the fee includes two full days of speakers, breakout sessions and meals are provided. Click here to be redirected to the payment page. You can pay via credit card, check or through a purchase order.

What is the cancellation policy for the conference?

Registration fees are non-refundable. If you are registered for the conference and then find that you are unable to attend, you may transfer your registration to a colleague.
