Title IX

20 U.S.C. §§ 1681–1688 (Title IX)

“No person in the United States shall, on the basis of sex, be excluded from participation in, be denied the benefit of, or be subjected to discrimination under any education program or activity receiving federal financial assistance.”

Title IX requires that every school district or institution have a designated Title IX Coordinator to whom concerns or complaints regarding sex discrimination can be made.

Resources for Superintendents & Policy Coordinators

Mountain State ESC provides independent investigators and other resources to School Districts for policy compliance or misconduct issues. Many policy violations or misconduct cases end up in the administrative hearing or litigation process. School districts can improve success and reduce the chances of litigation by using one of our independent investigators to verify the facts in a misconduct case. Superintendents or Coordinators can begin the investigative process by completing and submitting a complaint form or by contacting an experienced investigator below:

Mountain State ESC provides independent investigators, training and other resources to School Districts in compliance with Title IX and guidelines established by the USDOE Office of Civil Rights as well as Policy Compliance & resolution of Misconduct issues.
