Position:  Substitute Custodian (as needed when regular custodian is not available)

Locations:  Mountain Sate ESC Dunbar location

Salary:   $13.00 per hour, as needed

Qualifications:

        1. High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Diploma
        2. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, staff and the general public
        3. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situation consistent with the duties of the position
        4. Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and community
        5. Ability to read and comply with labels and safety warnings on cleaning agents and hazardous materials
        6. Ability to perform strenuous physical activity related to custodial duties
        7. Ability to work under minimal or no supervision
        8. Ability to understand and follow both written and oral directions
        9. Complete necessary training and in-service as required
        10. Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists with the duties of the position

Responsibilities:

        1. Maintain regular attendance
        2. Clean and keep buildings and grounds free of refuse
        3. Clean offices, restrooms, and common areas including but not limited to desks, shelves, dusting, emptying trash receptacles, vacuuming, and washing windows
        4. Scrubs, mops, strips, wax, disinfects and polishes hard-surfaced floors in restrooms, hallways, office spaces, etc. as required
        5. Vacuum carpeted areas in office, hallways, conference rooms as required
        6. Assumes responsibility for the security of the building regarding all door, and windows locked and lights off as needed before leaving the building for the night
        7. Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment
        8. Complete necessary maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds
        9. Maintain a neat and orderly work area
        10. Complies with MSESC policies
        11. Moves furniture and equipment and assists in special events or presentations
        12. Receives permission from supervisor to work in excess of 40 hours per week
        13. Operates the heating and cooling system and makes minor repairs and maintenance
        14. Corrects minor safety hazards when observed and or immediately refers all major safety hazards to building supervisor
        15. Employs positive profession attitudes and behaviors
        16. Follows all safety rules and regulations and uses prescribed personal protective equipment
        17. Maintains confidentiality
        18. Adheres to MSESC Employee Code of Conduct
          19.Other duties as assigned by the Executive Director

Resume Must Include:
1. List of educational institutions attended, course of study, dates attended, and certificates earned.
2. List of employers for the past ten years, including address and name of   immediate supervisor(s)
. 3. Description of responsibilities/work experiences in previous employment
4. Alignment of work experience with posted Job Description.
5. List of at least three (3) references including addresses and telephone numbers.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC.  Continuation of the position is dependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.
