Position: SPOKES Program Assistant

Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.
Qulaifications
1. High school diploma or high school equivalency required.
2. Experience in working with SPOKES programs preferred.
3. Knowledge of computer programs, preferably MS Word, MS Excel, data entry programs and Internet.
4. Working knowledge of employment skills: i.e. employment behaviors, employment attitudes, resumes, interviewing skills, employment search abilities, and employment opportunities.
5. Effective oral/written communication skills required.
6. Able to work with a diverse population.
7. Able to multi-task.
8. Ability to work unsupervised.
9. Ability to demonstrate and explain procedures and concepts.
10. Ability to motivate clients.
11. Organized, reliable, and conscientious

1. List of educational institutions attended, course of study, dates
2.List of employers for the past ten years, including address and name of immediate supervisor(s).

REPORTS TO: MSESC Executive Director
QUALIFICATIONS:
1. High school diploma or high school equivalency required.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Assist with instruction of program module information.
2. Assist with instruction of resume, cover letter, and thank you letter preparation.
3. Assist clients with interview preparation.
4. Assist with instruction of basic computer skills within MS Word, MS Excel, and Internet usage.
5. Determining and reporting employment opportunities available to clients.
6. Assist with instruction of materials and skills needed to succeed on WorkKeys pre-employment testing.
7. Data entry of client information and tracking information into management information system within the Adult Education System and client database.
8. Completion of client time sheets, program data sheets, and other forms as required.
9. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director/Designee.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT: Recommended by the MSESC Executive Director Confirmed by the MSESC Governing Council
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC. Continuation of the position is dependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.
SALARY: Per current Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative Salary Schedule
