Position: Regional Public Service Training Coordinator
Locations: Northern Region
Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications:
1. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
2. Experience in coordination of PST programs preferred.
3. Minimum of five years of experience in EMT, Fire Fighting, Law Enforcement and/or related area(s).
4. Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.
5. Demonstrated excellence in verbal and written communication skills.
6. Demonstrated success in working with groups in completing tasks and attaining goals.
7. Successful experience in the use of computers and software applications.

POSITION:
Regional Public Service Training Coordinator

REPORTS TO:
MSESC Executive Director

LOCATIONS:
Northern Region

7. Successful experience in the use of computers and software applications.
8. Certified as a WV Firefighter and/or ab EMT-B or EMT-P

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works effectively as a member of an educational team.
2. Demonstrates self-control and exhibits an attitude of mutual respect.
3. Demonstrates appropriate ethics and good work habits.
4. Demonstrates an ability to work effectively with local, county and state personnel.
5. Works effectively with state agencies (WV Department of Education, WV Department of Health, WV University Fire Extension Service, State Fire Commission, etc.), private industry and the general public.
6. Establishes and maintains good public relations.
7. Maintains and upgrades professional skills.
8. Coordinates Public Service Training in the MSESC Northern region.
9. Develops policies and procedures for Public Service Training.
10. Develops programs, budgets, and oversees daily office operation.
11. Provides leadership to adult Public Service Training instructors.
12. Organizes and supervises the development of curricular materials, professional development activities and technical assistance throughout for Public Service Training.
13. Works with advisory councils, professional organizations, governmental agencies, legislative committees and other groups in the areas of public service training.
14. Organizes, conducts, and evaluates classes for EMT, Fire Service Training, Water, Wastewater, Law Enforcement, and other classes as needed.
15. Must be able to work evenings and weekends.
16. Must be able to travel extensively.
17. Must be able to attend all local, regional, state and national meetings as necessary/or required.
18. Maintains records and processes required forms necessary to conduct training needed for state licensing boards, etc.
19. Provides an annual report and all other necessary reports to the state coordinator of Public Service Training and the MSESC Executive Director.
20. Maintains all student and class data records in the PST data system.
21. Administer testing for PST and International Fire Service Accreditation Congress (IFSAC) classes.
22.Assist with ESCAPe and ASSET conferences.
23. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director/Designee.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC. Continuation of the position is dependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.

Per current Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative Salary Schedule
