TITLE OF VACANCY: Reentry Specialist
ADMINISTRATIVE UNIT: Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative
LOCATION: Cabell/Mason region
WV Schools of Diversion & Transition – Grant Funded Position
WV Schools of Diversion & Transition is hiring a Reentry Specialists to support enhanced reentry services in G.O.A.L.S. and RSAT units through new WV First Foundation funding.
This position will serve the following region:
Cabell/Mason Region
- Western Regional Jail – Male G.O.A.L.S. Unit
- Lakin Correctional Center – Female RSAT Unit
Education Requirement
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s degree preferred.
What You’ll Do
Provide reentry case management, develop transition plans, coordinate treatment and workforce supports, and work in a paired team with a PRSS to support successful community reentry.
Ideal candidates are organized, mission-driven, and experienced working with justice-involved individuals.
Additional Requirements
- Must meet entrance requirements for the WV Division of Corrections and Rehabilitation (DCR).
- Applicants are subject to DCR background checks and eligibility determinations in order to work inside correctional facilities.
Candidates for employment must complete a cover letter, resume, and official application form. Resume must include a list of educational institutions attended, course of study, dates attended, and certificates earned; a list of employers for the past ten years; a description of responsibilities/work experience in previous employment; alignment of work experience with the posted job description; and a list of at least three references including address and telephone numbers.
