Qualifications:
1. High School Diploma minimum.
2. Demonstrate proficiency with MS Office including database/spreadsheet management.
3. Demonstrate superior interpersonal skills and organizational abilities.
4. Demonstrate ability in verbal and written communication skills.
5. Demonstrate success in working with groups, completing tasks, and attaining goals
6. Experience in the use of computers and software applications preferred.
7. Ability to establish priorities and meet deadlines.
8. Ability to understand and follow written and oral directions.
9. Thorough knowledge of efficient office operations.
10. Must be willing to travel.
11. Demonstrate ability to maintain positive relationships with diverse clientele.

POSITION:
Regional Public Service Training Specialist

REPORTS TO:
PST Coordinator / MSESC Executive Director

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE:

Web page maintenance

Familiarity with one or more area of certification.
1. EMS

3. Education

Instructor in one or more of the following areas:
1. First Aid/CPR
2. Fire Service
3. EMT
RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Works effectively as a member of a team.
2. Demonstrates self-control and exhibits an attitude of mutual respect.
3. Demonstrates appropriate ethics and good work habits.
4. Establish and maintain good working relationships with staff, instructors, county school system personnel, the general public and others including but not limited to WVOEMS, WVU-FSE and WVDE.
5. Maintains and upgrades professional skills.
6. Willingness to work evenings and weekends.
7. Willingness to travel throughout the region.
8. Maintains records and processes required forms necessary to conduct training needed for state licensing boards, etc.
9. Publicizing courses through various media, developing brochures and PSA’s updating Public Service Training & WEB sites.
10. Prepare and distribute instructor materials/equipment associated with a wide variety of classes in a timely manner.
11. Order and maintain inventory of books, supplies, equipment and A-V.
12. Prepare invoices.
13. Perform general clerical duties including but not limited to managing databases, maintaining files, typing all correspondence, records and reports, responding to any telephone calls and returning messages/calls relating to the PST program.
14. Assist PST Coordinator with administration of emergency response examinations.
15. Instruct classes when needed.
a. If certification to instruct is not held at the time of employment we will supply training for
certification. Certification must be attained within one year of employment.
16. Maintain restricted and confidential information in accordance with Federal guidelines.
17. Operate all business machines & technology available in the office and those needed for effective
implementation of PST sessions.
18. Performs other tasks as assigned by the Executive Director/Designee.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC. Continuation of the position is dependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.
