Position:                      Project/Technology Support and Training Specialist

Location:                     Transportation Complex/Multi

Reports To:                Transportation Director

Employment Term:    Part-time as needed

Qualifications:

  1. Current West Virginia teacher certification.
  2. Demonstrated expertise in Microsoft Office Products and online storage.
  3. Demonstrated ability to learn and train staff on multiple systems and platforms.
  4. Demonstrated ability to communicate with other staff regarding technology.
  5. Demonstrated working knowledge of basic computer and network management.
  6. Demonstrated ability to implement and maintain inventory system.
  7. Must hold Apple Teacher Certificate.
  8. Must hold Microsoft Innovative Educator Certificate.
  9. Must hold IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard 5 Certificate.
  10. Must pursue and achieve IC3 Digital Literacy Global Standard 6 Level 3 Certificate by February 2022.
  11. Other qualifications deemed necessary by supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Implement a designated routing program and app for school and parent use.
  2. Promote and support integration of technology through staff development and timely individual assistance.
  3. Provide technical support for all Cabell County Schools digital devices and systems in buildings.
  4. Distribute, collect, and maintain AUP’s for all building computer users each year.
  5. Deploy, support, and troubleshoot all technology at school sites including Apple Products, Microsoft Products, Cameras, Door Locks, Intercoms, network equipment, printers, visitor management systems, display devices, phones, etc.
  6. Train staff in the use of various applications and hardware technology.
  7. Plan and conduct on-demand and in-person staff development activities to promote technology integration.
  8. Maintain an accurate technology inventory.
  9. Communicate technical problems to appropriate persons in the Central Office Technology Department through Cabell Schools Work Order system.
  10. Participate in technology department meetings and other required training sessions. .
  11. Maintain certifications and update when required.
  12. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
