Qualifications:
1. Associate’s degree in business related field, vocational education, wood products, manufacturing, or related fields
2. Work experience in an office and classroom setting preferred
3. Ability to teach, organize, and perform woodworking training programs
4. Proven background and experience in office management
5. Ability to manage employees
6. Proven abilities to work with education, business, and industry leaders
7. Proficient in various computer programs including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office, Corel Draw, and Quickbooks
8. At least two (2) years of grant application and administration experience
9. Background in workplace safety
10. Ability to travel regionally

POSITION:  Program Assistant, WV Wood Technology Center   Randolph County Development Authority

POSITION DESCRIPTION: Provide assistance to develop, promote, teach, coordinate, and expand industry leading courses in the areas of hardwood manufacturing, safety, extractive, and other industries. Provide assistance to manage and expand the WV Wood Technology Center and Central West Virginia Woodworkers Cooperative. Provide financial accounting services, employee management, property management, and various other office management services to the WV Wood Technology Center and Randolph County Development Authority.

LOCATION:  West Virginia Wood Technology Center, Elkins-Randolph County

REPORTS TO:  WV Wood Technology Center Executive Director

QUALIFICATIONS – REQUIRED:
1. Associate’s degree in business related field, vocational education, wood products, manufacturing, or related fields
2. Work experience in an office and classroom setting preferred
3. Ability to teach, organize, and perform woodworking training programs
4. Proven background and experience in office management
5. Ability to manage employees

QUALIFICATIONS – PREFERRED:
1. Experience working with oil & gas industry
2. Certification in various safety programs including, but not limited to, OSHA, First Aid/CPR/AED
3. Experience programing/operating a CNC, laser engraver, or similar machines
4. Proficiency in the following software programs: Photoshop, V-Carve, and Photo Grave

RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Teach courses on and off-site as directed by the Training Coordinator/Executive Director
2. Coordinate with regional vocational-technical centers to recruit students
3. Assist with curriculum development to meet industry needs
4. Schedule course offerings
5. Assist with management of wood shop activities
6. Assist with the management of the woodworkers cooperative
7. Implement various industry safety curriculum
8. Prepare and maintain all financials including but not limited to all bank accounts, payroll, A/P, and A/R  9. Prepare and file all monthly, quarterly, and annual payroll tax returns
