POSITION TITLE: Networking/Low Voltage Cable Installer
LOCATION: Wayne County
EMPLOYMENT TERM: April-August 31, 2023
SALARY: $15.00/hour, seasonal

1. Maintain cable systems by installing, repairing, programming, and upgrading cable infrastructure.
2. Perform major and minor preventive maintenance and repairs by troubleshooting cabling system issues.
3. Place, label, and identify Cat3, 5, 5e, and 6 voice/data twisted pair cable
4. Build pathways for cable (cable tray, ladder rack, J-hooks, etc.)
5. Terminate/label work-station outlets
6. Troubleshoot and test voice/data cable
7. Troubleshoot NVRs, IP cameras, network devices, etc.
8. Other duties as assigned by supervisor or MSESC executive director

Minimum Physical requirements:

1. Ability to life tools and material up to 50lbs regularly and up to 100lbs with assistance.
2. Ability to work in unusual or extreme elements; such as dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, etc
3. Ability to walk and/or stand for 8 hours a day.
4. Ability to work safely from heights on ladders, scissor lifts, etc.
5. Ability to work in tight spaces requiring crouching, stooping, stretching, and reaching.


1. High school diploma/TASC
2. Ability to work well with others.
3. Physical strength, dexterity, and ability to do manual labor.
4. Valid WV driver’s license
