Mobile Device Management Specialist/Network Administrator
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Lincoln County Schools Director of Technology
EMPLOYMENT TERM: 240 days
SALARY: Pursuant to WV Code §18A-4-2, in accordance with Mountain State Educational Services Cooperative Salary Schedule, commensurate with experience and education level.
EVALUATION: Performance in this position will be evaluated by the Lincoln County Director of Technology in accordance with WV State Code §18A-2-12, WV State Board Policy 5310, and LCBOE Policy.
JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for maintenance and configuration of district-wide physical and cloud-based systems and manage projects as a team lead.
JOB DUTIES:
- Manage and configure MobileDevice Management Systems
- Configure reporting for Lost/Stolen devices
- Manage/Configure iOS, MacOS, and shared deviceApps
- Manage/Configure filtering for iOS, MacOS, and shared devices
- Manage/Configure profile restrictions for iOS, MacOS, and shared devices
- Manage/Configure Apple Classroom integration
- Manage and configure county filtering solution
- Manage and configure county content caching
- Provide Tier 3 district server support for Technology Systems Specialists (TSS)
- Manage and configure Apple School Managerintegration
- Maintain county-wide Apple iOS and Apple MacOS updates and provide recommendations for MDM profile configurations and assignments that align with the updates
- Communicate effectively and work with employees within the office of technology, Lincoln County Schools, WVDE, and other outside vendors
- Lead teams of technicians through successful completion of technical projects.
- Provide support for MDM, ASM, and Filtering Solution
- Assume other duties as assigned by LCS Director of Technology
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Associates degree in a technology field.
- Minimum of 2 technical certifications
- Two years configuring and maintaining MDM preferred (jamf experience preferred)
- Three years of experience working with multiple company support departments to resolve technical issues preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience with managing Apple School Manager preferred
- Full understanding of network design, wireless and wired infrastructure, DNS/DHCP, File Servers, backups, and active directory, etc.
- Full understanding of MobileDevice Management configuration and scoping within an educational environment
- Proficient with configuring a filtering solution within an education environment
- Proficient with AppleScript, and Terminal Commands
- Ability to successfully lead teams of technicians through technical projects
- Ability to maintain accurate detailed records
- Strong troubleshooting abilities
- Demonstrate skills in effective verbal and written communication
- Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other employees
- Possess exemplary organizational skills
- Communicate effectively with all levels of technology users
- Takes initiative to research and learn new hardware and software without direction
- Takes initiative to create step-by-step training materials on new and existing hardware and software without direction
- Willing to adapt to a flexible work schedule to accommodate installation, maintenance and troubleshooting of hardware, software, and network
- Technology System Specialist licensure required
