Salary: $14.00 per hour, 240 days

- High School diploma, GED or High School Equivalency Diploma
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from administrators, staff and the general public
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions in practical situation consistent with the duties of the position
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff and community
- Ability to read and comply with labels and safety warnings on cleaning agents and hazardous materials
- Ability to perform strenuous physical activity related to custodial duties
- Ability to work under minimal or no supervision
- Ability to understand and follow both written and oral directions
- Complete necessary training and in-service as required
- Ability to solve practical problems in situations where only limited standardization exists with the duties of the position

Responsibilities:

- Maintain regular attendance
- Clean and keep buildings and grounds free of refuse
- Clean offices, restrooms, and common areas including but not limited to desks, shelves, dusting, emptying trash receptacles, vacuuming, and washing windows
- Scrubs, mops, strips, wax, disinfects and polishes hard-surfaced floors in restrooms, hallways, office spaces, etc. as required
- Vacuum carpeted areas in office, hallways, conference rooms as required
- Assumes responsibility for the security of the building regarding all door, and windows locked and lights off as needed before leaving the building for the night
- Maintain an inventory of supplies and equipment
- Complete necessary maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds
- Maintain a neat and orderly work area
- Complies with MSESC policies
- Moves furniture and equipment and assists in special events or presentations
- Receives permission from supervisor to work in excess of 40 hours per week
- Operates the heating and cooling system and makes minor repairs and maintenance
- Corrects minor safety hazards when observed and or immediately refers all major safety hazards to building supervisor
- Employs positive profession attitudes and behaviors
- Follows all safety rules and regulations and uses prescribed personal protective equipment
- Maintains confidentiality
- Adheres to MSESC Employee Code of Conduct

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT: This position is a will and pleasure employee of the Mountain State ESC. Continuation of the position is dependent upon funding, enrollment and program performance.
